Pompey's Foster earns England coaching position
Ian Foster has joined England's coaching set-up after securing his release from Pompey.
As previously revealed by The News, the Blues’ first-team coach last week requested to leave Fratton Park for a new job.
Foster had been lined-up by the Football Association to work in age-group football in the England set-up.
That exit has now been mutually agreed, enabling the 40-year-old to today depart the club.
Foster had spent almost 21 months at Fratton Park, having been appointed to Cook’s backroom in May 2015.
