Sugar-free challenge in memory of mum
Adela Routledge, 34, has given up all things sugary for the month of May in a bid to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Adela’s mum Agnes Cox died earlier this year after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Adela is determined to do all she can in memory of her.

Adela, who lives in Cosham, has given up all sweet foods from ice creams to doughnuts as part of her month-long challenge.
She said: ‘This is going to be tough for me, it will be as difficult as running a marathon or climbing a mountain.’
Adela says her mum was an inspiration to others and will always be remembered as a caring person who always put others first.

Adela initially hoped to raise around £100 for the Alzheimer’s Society but has already raised over £300 in memory of her brave mum.
She said: ‘My family and I are so grateful for all the donations I have received so far and it goes to show how much my mum was loved by so many people.’
