Fears for the 5ft 9ins-tall pensioner’s safety were immediately raised, as the 81-year-old has a ‘serious health conditions’ and was ‘likely to be confused’, police said.
But following a massive appeal, Hampshire police today said the elderly gent had been found safe and well.
A spokesman from the police force said: ‘Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal to locate missing Frederick Pope from Southampton. He has now been found.’
