Children urged to take on chicken run
The free, family event involves participants hunting for chickens hidden around Denmead and also features community stalls, an Easter egg tombola, prize draw and craft activity.
The hidden chickens are pictures drawn by children from Denmead Junior School as part of a school art competition. Participants will need to find all 20 chickens to win an Easter treat.

Denmead Chicken Run is being co-ordinated by Market Towns Development Officers at Winchester City Council with the aim of bringing families into the village centre and encouraging them to use the shops and learn more about local organisations.
With financial support from The Southern Co-operative, the event will also rely on volunteer help from the Denmead Infant School PTA, Denmead Parish Council and local businesses.
Andreea Tudor, campaigns co-ordinator at The Southern Cooperative said: ‘We are proud to sponsor this great event which brings together so many community groups and is enjoyed by so many people each year.’
