Uber launches new service in Portsmouth
The service is being launched today in response to the growing number of Uber users in Portsmouth.
In the past 30 days, Uber trips in the region totalled over 145,000 miles, enough to drive around the circumference of the earth six times.

All cars are still booked through Uber’s app. An UberEXEC journey from the Langstone Technology Park to Gunwharf Quays will cost about £20, while a car from Lakeside to Southampton airport would be in the region of £35.
Fred Jones, general manager, said: ‘UberEXEC brings together luxurious cars and a real private driver experience so we’re excited to be bringing this service to Portsmouth.
‘Launching UberEXEC will provide riders with a more opulent choice to get about town with the same level of convenience they’ve come to know and love from the Uber app.’
