Fareham town centre pub The Ironmaster closed until further notice

A PUB in Fareham town centre has announced that is now closed until further notice.

The Ironmaster, in 26 West Street, made the announcement earlier today.

A post on the pub’s Facebook page said: ‘Sorry we are closed from today until further notice.’

A sign has appeared in the pub’s windows, informing people that staff remain working and living on site – but all stock and cash have been removed from the premises.

The pub’s management have been approached for comment.

The pub, formerly trading as the Market Tavern, was renamed and underwent a £350,000 refurbishment in 2016.
